Wilson partnered with fine artist Romero Britto for a collaboration to get people more involved in the sport of tennis, wile also participating in the “positivity movement” Britto’s pieces embody. This is a 3 year collaboration with Wilson and I was on a team of 2 designers and one copy writer working on this collaboration. Our task was to create a marketing campaign to get both the Wilson and Britto audiences engaged with each other. We achieved this through unique product photography, social media platforms, a website landing page, and email blasts. Below is a gallery of this work.

Art Direction - Photography

With my fellow designer, we art directed and shot all the marketing photography for this campaign. It was unique from any other product photography we had done, as we needed to find a way to let these iconic patterns show off, wile not distracting from one another. With our in house photography and retouching team this is the library of product photography we art directed for all of our assets.

Wireframing - Landing Page

knowing this page needs to evolve over the collaboration my fellow designer Alex and I worked on the best way to weave a story on our landing page. We needed to make all these complex patterns in the rackets work together, wile also not being kitschy, or overwhelming to the viewer. We let each racket shine on it’s own in it’s own headline bar than can break down on mobile to showcase the over all messaging of the campaign. We included Britto’s little characters that he is known for, as they were also tennis vibration dampeners for sale. We wanted to be creative designers to match the spirit of the collaboration, so we tried to keep it minimal, simple, colorful, and let the art speak for it’s self wile also leading a consumer exactly where they want to go.

Creative Strategy - Social Media

We had to design social media content that both the @WilsonTennis page would post as well as the artist @RomeroBritto official page would post. We had a video our team produced available to us, so we used this to share across both accounts in Instagram Stories. We gave Britto’s team some options of imagery and our copy writer composed a text post for his team to post. On Wilson’s tennis account we told stories the best way we knew how by showing product and linking our followers to the product page on wilson.com and Britto’s social accounts as well.
